General Product Attributes for our Educational Furniture

  • Solid ash hardwood and ash veneer are used as standard in the structure of our school furniture – other materials are also available
  • Full length hinges on all doors – including lockers, for which we use a specially designed cranked hinge
  • All drawers have dove-tailed joints
  • All beds have solid bases – we never use slats
  • Thick medium density fibreboard is used in the internal sections of our school furniture, such as bed bases and drawer boxes

  • Panels are made from MFC or veneered board with hardwood or ABS edging, in different thicknesses depending on the client’s preference
  • Hideaway hinges are used on all doors, with the exception of lockers for which we use a specially designed cranked hinge

  • All beds have solid bases – we never use slats

Furniture for Challenging Environments including Autism and Dementia

All of our secure furniture is designed to be incredibly strong, anti-ligature/ligature resistant and to create a calm, attractive environment. Available attributes include: J-rails, sloping tops, waterproof under-bed plinths, sloping doors, non-removable drawers etc.
